Medico-legal occupational therapy assessments in NSW and Sydney

Medico-Legal Occupational Therapy Assessments in NSW & Sydney

Interface is headquartered in Bondi Junction, at the heart of Sydney's eastern suburbs. We have provided independent occupational therapy assessments to the NSW personal injury sector since 1994, with more than 30 years of experience working within NSW courts, schemes, and regulatory frameworks. We conduct assessments throughout New South Wales, including metropolitan Sydney, regional centres, rural communities, and remote locations. Where an in-person assessment is required, we travel. Where telehealth is clinically appropriate, we offer secure remote assessment options.

NSW Schemes and Frameworks

New South Wales has a number of highly regulated injury and care schemes. Interface assessors have extensive experience working within these frameworks and understand their clinical and evidentiary requirements.

CTP – Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017

Interface provides occupational therapy assessments for matters arising under the NSW Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017, as well as motor vehicle accident matters proceeding under other applicable legal frameworks. Our assessors understand the requirements of the NSW CTP scheme, including the distinctions between minor, non-minor, and catastrophic injuries.

Workers Compensation – SIRA

Interface conducts assessments for matters governed by the Workers Compensation Act 1987, the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998, and associated guidelines administered by the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA). Our assessors are familiar with the clinical and reporting requirements of the NSW workers compensation framework, including merit review and dispute resolution processes.

icare and the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme

Interface provides assessments for icare-related matters and for participants within the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme (LTCS). These assessments address care, rehabilitation, equipment, and support needs and are prepared with an understanding of the scheme's clinical requirements.

Public Liability and Common Law Matters

We provide occupational therapy assessments for public liability, occupiers' liability, and negligence matters throughout New South Wales.

Dust Diseases Tribunal Matters

Interface conducts assessments for matters involving mesothelioma, asbestosis, silicosis, and other occupational dust diseases. Where clinical circumstances require urgent assessment, expedited scheduling may be available.

Telehealth Assessments in NSW
